I recently purchased FAQ module. The token USEREMAIL doesnt seem to work. It appears as "vvaidyana@ascensionhealth.org" and is not replaced by the value. Appreciate if you could let me know what I need to do. Thanks

Question. Can I set the sort order in ZLDNN Photo Album? The default is to show the most recent photo first, but I would like to sort by filename.

Answer: Yes! In the 1.6 version, you can set order by title.

I must say that I am really impressed with this module. I used ALL images modules and looked for one with comments and ratings but you are the only one !
I also could implement a way for users to upload their own pictures, you can take a look at http://www.trip-thailand.com.
A few things that I can suggest and that would make this module even better(most of them are implemented in the best images module for DNN 2.1.2 - PhotoAlbum3, that got no version for DNN 3), are :

1. Alboms - Like elephants, zibras, dogs etc. A even more sophisticated thing would be to tag pictures to multiple categoris, like Adobe Photo Album.

2. A way to choose that each uploaded picture won't be approved automatically, but just after an administrator saw it - like with the comments - but there would be one administrative screen that shows all the new pictures and a way to approve each one or all. The same thing should be with the comments as well, because that when having 1200 pictures it's not logical to go into each picture to approve a comment.

3. A way for every user to manage his own pictures - If a user has uploaded an image and want to delete it, change the title and such as well as administrate his comments to his image.

All these things are things that I am really missing in many community sites that let users share photos, and that would make this module the best community images module.

Hi,

I was wondering if the "Comments" and "Send to friend" features of the ZLDNN Photo Gallery could be disabled? They don't work on our system and I'd rather hide them than have users see error messages.

Question. I just installed ZLDNN_FAQ and it installed fine. I have a question on the search. One of the main criteria's for the FAQ section of this website is that I can search on any word within the FAQ. The search will display results if I type in "ocra" or "answer" but will not display results if I type in "HUD" which is a typical real estate term. Is there a dictionary or something the DNN search works off. Any advice you could give me would be great. If there is a module that will search within a container that would work also. Thanks.

The DNN search is for general purpose. It does not maintain a dictionary that contains key words. Maybe there should be a customized module to meet your requirement.

I've upgraded to v4.0.2 of your Wrapper module. But I am getting an exception when I try to view without edit rights...

Question. Using DNN 4.0.2 -- I purchased and installed Advanced News Feed (1.2) PA. Per the Users Manual, there is supposed to be an Order Field under Module Settings (see page 5 of the Advanced FAQ users manual). Right now, I'm unable to order my FAQ's because of this missing data field.

Well, that field isn't there.

Any clues to get it fixed?

The Advanced FAQ is just upgraded from 1.1 to 1.2. I have unloaded the user manual but not updated the PA in Snowcovered.

I'll send you new version by Email. Please let me know if you receive it because some email servers reject email with attached file.

Hi, i'm having a problem uploading my pictures using ftp. Im adding some pictures to my portal, and place these in the older Portals/0/fotos
After adding some directorys (about 25 with a total of approx 500 pics) i press synchronize database.
After some time i get the following error:
Request timed out. Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. Exception Details: System.Web.HttpException: Request timed out.'

In this case i don't see my pictures when i choose the option "Add existing photo(s)".

So i wondered, is it possible, to change the location (Directory) from here i can upload my pictures, or is is default the root of my portal. I want to choose files from the root of my host instead. Can i change this?

Thanks for your question. If you use ftp to upload your files, you should synchronize database, wherever there are in root or a sub directory. And you cannot change your portal root. The problem is because there are many files to be synchronized. There is a tip that may help you. Compress all picture files into a zip file and upload it use ftp. Then you can synchronize database and unzip it using dnn file manager. Then you can add pictures. Note, before doing this, delete the pictures you have uploaded.
